8.1  How to Get There

8.2  Local Public Transportation

8.3  Accommodation

July is vacation season in Europe, and it is highly recommended that you book hotels early. There is a great choice of hotels in all price ranges.

Berne also has two backpacker hotels and a youth hostel, all with online booking.

8.4  Weather and Climate

The average daytime temperature in Berne during the first half of July is between 20 °C and 25 °C, falling at night or after a thunderstorm to about 12 °C. Usually it is sunny, but days with rain are possible. The three-day post-conference tour takes place partly in the Alpine regions where the temperature is some degrees lower than in town.

8.5  Insurance

Please note that medical services (physicians, hospitals) are very expensive in Switzerland. We highly recommend that you contact your health insurance in time and consider additional coverage for the travel time.

Insurance coverage is the responsibility of the participants.
